I made a new kit this week :) but with all the wonderful back to school kits around the place I almost gave up releasing it, hehehe. Having said that, I noticed my kit is very different from everyone else's and, as usual,it goes better with my photos, since it was create for my photos (such a big plus of starting to design, now my papers go perfectly with my photos LOL). Here is the new kit:   

as I said, very different look for a school kit, and I love the alpha (as usual, I love alphas), and some of the elements can be a lot of fun to play with.

Moving on to my next releases :) I have created a couple of chalk brushes and stamps:

Note that this last one (my favourite) is not a brush set. Unfortunately Photoshop doesn't allow for brushes bigger than 2500 pixels, that is just over 8 inches, and since our "industry standard" for scrapbook layouts is 12 inches (or at least 11inches for the 8.5x11 layouts), I didn't want to cut up the borders.

It is fun to try different styles and techniques :) This page was also for the hodge podge challenge on repetition, that's why I repeated the photo :)

So after drawing the alpha with watercolours, I literally spent days extracting, cleaning, recolouring, cutting each alpha (that took the longest), packaging and uploading it to the store.... phew. Learned my lesson, learned to create brushes and I am not so sure I am going to recolour my next alpha.... so, please let me know your favourite colour for next time!!! Here is my Sweet Watercolour Alpha Series, for a dollar each:

I have also provided an option for people to buy the whole pack at once and save 50% :) My favourite one is sweet sunshine, and it was also the most painful to recolour, I felt inclined to just redraw the whole thing :) but figured it out in the end. But yellow is probably not very popular so, as I said, you got tell me your favourite!

Lastly, I made these alphas because I *loooove* the soft and perfectly imperfect look of the watercolours and I really wanted to find a way to bring that quality to digital, so, I created a brush set:

As you can imagine, this took much longer than I expected and I haven't had the time to play with my own design yet... eeck! That's ok, this was a LOT of self promotion for a day anyway :)

I have been feeling like trying, so I did, I made some elements using my own templates. It was fun and I am happy with the result but for some reason I am super apprehensive about what other people will think! I have created a new collection: It is elementary, my dear.

Because I LOVE alphas, I started off with a red hot alpha of loooove, inspired by Valentines:

Then I created some hearts and wings coordinating with the LDD Hugs and Kisses collab. I was going to include these in the collab but finished it off way too late for it to be included.

Lastly, because I am momma to boys, I just had to add "something blue"

2009 is really the year for new things, I lost track of the number of new things in my life. When I created this page for the Mix it up blog I had no idea how much that list was going to grow in less than two months. It has been crazy, but you know what? it has been rewarding!
